Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor who has been a part of the SSC's board since 2011, is the Co-Artistic Director Founding of the newly formed theater company Speech of Fire. She served as Artistic director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 through the year 2019. As the Artistic Director for SSC she also was the costume and set designer for the production, as well as music director, composer and coach for text. Though generally leading from within the group of actors, in her final year she made her first appearance as director (and the lighting design) in SSC's King Lear.
